Tuesday 12 April 2016, 8pm. Caroline Walker, Andrew and Angela Johnston on The life and work of MacDonald Gill, creator of the Gomshall Map.  Shere, Peaslake & Gomshall Local History Group.

There will also be a small exhibition of Max's work in the local museum (see below).

Sculptors at War.  Dr Ruth Cribb's talk: Joseph Cribb: Conscripted Craftsman is about her grandfather's involvement in the letter-carving of the standard military headstone, whose alphabet and badges were designed by MacDonald Gill.
